About
The focus of this website is to provide parents (and grandparents) and teachers with books and activities for children that require minimal materials, yet provide a quality discovery experience for children for home or school.
My desire is to share my love of science with my grandchildren and children everywhere, by writing and reviewing children’s books and sharing activities and resources for home or school.
As a teacher of science for 33 years, and work as a consultant for my state and a textbook company, I’ve spent time sharing my experiences and aligning them to the NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards). I’ve even written a course on the NGSS for ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development).
I am powered by coffee, love spring green, cobalt blue glass, petrichor (the earthy smell when it first starts to rain), puppies, and, of course, grandchildren.
